Bio
Álvaro Silva Ribeiro has an academic background in Physics, with a MSc in Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance and Quality, and a PhD in Tech. Physics. He works since 1992 in LNEC being Head of the Metrological Quality Division and of the Hydraulic Metrology Laboratory, and Quality Manager. He is President of RELACRE, was President of EUROLAB aisbl (2015-2021) and member of several Committees, namely, in ILAC, EURAMET, IMEKO and Standardization Committees. He published more than 250 papers in Conferences, Workshops, Symposia and International Journals. Research experience is related with Metrology, experimental Physics, Applied Mathematics and Data Science in Civil Engineering.
