Margarida Valente

Margarida Valente has a degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Coimbra, a postgraduate degree in Water Quality and Pollution Control from the same University, a postgraduate degree in Occupational Health and a Master's degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. She was a Senior Microbiology Laboratory Technician at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Coimbra and currently works as Responsible for Planning at the Águas do Douro e Paiva Laboratory, S.A., Grupo Águas de Portugal. IEFP Certified Trainer teaches courses on the following topics: Laboratory Accreditation, Occupational Safety and Health in Laboratories, Control of Infection Associated with Healthcare, Environment and Waste Management, Water Quality and Sampling and Prevention and Control of Legionella. She regularly participates as a speaker at seminars, conferences and congresses. In parallel, she works as an auditor and consultant in the area of laboratory accreditation and management, occupational health in laboratories and water quality control, both in its laboratory and operational aspects.
