10:00 – Start of the PO.RO.S visit
About: PO.RO.S – The Roman Portugal Museum in Sicó is a journey into the Roman presence in the Lands of Sicó, revealing the meeting of cultures that shaped the history of the region.
Technology stimulates the senses and gives the exhibition a vivid and dynamic character, combining knowledge and entertainment while contributing to the preservation and promotion of the historical memory of Romanization.
11:30 – Start of the Conímbriga Museum visit
About: The National Museum of Conímbriga is one of the most important archaeological museums in Portugal, offering a unique insight into the Roman city of Conímbriga and its long history of occupation.
Opened in 1962 and later classified as a national museum, it encompasses not only the exhibition space but also the extensive archaeological ruins and surrounding areas of the ancient city.
The museum’s collection brings together a vast and diverse set of artifacts discovered at the site, covering nearly two millennia of human presence, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. Through objects of daily life, sculpture, mosaics, and architectural elements, visitors can explore the social, economic, and cultural life of the Roman settlement.
